Key Information

Stress is a significant factor affecting employee wellbeing and productivity, especially in the United Kingdom, where workplace stress has been on the rise. High stress levels can lead to burnout, increased absenteeism, and lower job satisfaction. Incorporating stress reduction strategies into workplace wellness programs can yield substantial benefits for both employees and companies. One effective approach is nature-based ecotherapy, which involves using nature to promote physical and mental wellbeing.

Understanding and providing suitable support for your staff team wellbeing challenges will help with morale, performance, sickness, staff turnover, feeling valued and your overall bottom line. Many organisations don't have a wellbeing budget but they do have a sales budget or a performance budget. Holistic wellbeing can be called Performance training if that helps with budgeting! The results will speak for themselves.

Deloitte’s return on investment analysis of employee mental health interventions that was conducted as part of the research shows on average, for every £1 spent on supporting their people’s mental health, employers get nearly £4.70** back on their investment in improved productivity. Demonstrating that higher return on investment can be achieved by early interventions, such as organisation-wide culture change and education, than more in-depth support that may be needed at a later stage when a person is struggling.

The Benefits of Nature-Based activities for Employee Wellbeing
